Greetings from San Mateo Mounted SAR Unit Leader Casey Terribilini!

Dear prospective applicant,

Welcome to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Mounted Search and Rescue Unit. We are a volunteer team consisting of horsemen who donate their time and equipment to aid in protecting the lives of the citizens in our county. Our training encompasses safety, discipline, emergency preparedness, versatility, and confidence while fostering mutual respect for fellow SAR members, our equine partners and other SAR teams. Our group meets one Thursday evening and one Sunday morning per month for training and skill enhancement.
